Charles Pahud 1890 – 1959

Charles Pahud 1890 – 1959 was a French Swiss orthodox physician who converted to homeopathy to become President of The International Homeopathic League in 1952 – 53.

Charles Pahud was a student of Antoine Nebel, alongside Daniel, Henry Duprat, Heurtault, Jean Jarricot, Quenot, Rouy, and Vidouze.

Charles Pahud was also a colleague of Jost Kunzli von Fimmelsberg, Rudolf Flury, Pierre Schmidt,

The first homeopath to discover the changes in the sixth edition of the Organon was the Swiss Rudolf Flury, who began to manufacture Q-potencies right from 1942, just 100 years upon the completion of the manuscript of the 6th Organon.

It is obviously also him who invented the term “LM potencies”. Rudolf Flury communicated his discovery to his compatriot Charles Pahud, who introduced the Q-potencies in the French speaking countries and also inspired Adolf Voegeli to prepare and prescribe Q-potencies.

The International Homeopathic League was founded in Rotterdam (Holland), on the 10th September, 1925 by Roy Upham USA, the first President, George Henry Burford, England, the first Vice President, and Harold Fergie Woods, England, Clarence Granville Hey, England, Edwin Awdas Neatby, England, Victor Ellwood, England, M F Kranz Busch, Germany, Jean Paul Tessier Junior, France, E C Tuinzing, Holland, Augusto Vinyals, Spain, Juan Bertran, Spain, Petrie Nicholas Grouleff, Denmark, A. Moeira Piedras, Brazil and Pierre Schmidt, Switzerland.

Charles Pahud was President of The International Homeopathic League in 1952 – 53.

Charles Pahud did many homeopathic provings, on Cadmium metallicum, and he wrote Portez-vous bien: revue mensuelle d’hygiene moderne, 15e Congrès international de médecine homéopathique, Les idées erronées du public sur la maladie, La luxation congénitale de la hanche, and he also  submitted cases and articles to various homeopathic publications.
