Julius Mezger 1891 - 1976

Julius Mezger 1891 - 1976 was a German general practitioner and homeopath. He studied medicine in 1911 Tuebingen, Kiel, and from 1912, he was the Chief Physician at the Robert Bosch Hospital in Stuttgart.

Julius Mezger was a colleague of Otto Leeser, Hermann Schlueter, Alfons Stiegele, and Erich Unseld.

The Robert Bosch Homeopathic Hospital was one of the major facilities for homeopathy in Wuerttemberg; it was opened in 1940, and well known names in homeopathy the postwar years have worked there, such as: Hermann Schlueter, Alfons Stiegele, Erich Unseld, the most famous medical director was probably Otto Leeser and his senior Julius Mezger.

The Robert Bosch Homeopathic Hospital had a clinic where Oswald Schlegel, Hans Theodor Ritter, Konrad and Hotzer worked, to name just a few names.

Julius Mezger researched remedy pictures, around 25 not previously used in homeopathy, such as the magnesium group. Mezger wrote one of the most important reference works for homeopaths, Homeopathic Medicines Visible Teaching in two volumes, first published in 1949. Mezger also wrote Teaching Visible Homeopathic Medicines, Compendium of Homeopathic Therapy, Consideration of Medicines Chelicerengiftes cross spider Arana ixoloba,

Mezger also proved Aristolochia Clematis, Hedera helix, Erigeron canadense, Mandragora officinarum, and he contributed widely to homeopathic books,
