William Gwynn ?1827 - 1869 Surgeon 1854, MB 1857 Dublin, was a British orthodox physician who converted to homeopathy to become a Physician at the Southampton Homeopathic Dispensary, a Physician at the Liverpool Homeopathic Dispensary,
In 1860, William Gwynn was refused his registration at the Royal College of Surgeons and the Royal College of Physicians on the grounds that he had ‘adopted a particular theory of medicine’ and his appeal was summarily dismissed.
The fact that he was a homeopath singled William Gwynn out for discipline, despite the fact that he had completed his medical studies and passed all his examinations.
William Gwynn practiced in Ipswich, and he lived at Holly Lodge Hants (retired in 1868),
Gwynn’s Obituary is in The British Journal of Homeopathy in 1869,
William Gwynn submitted cases and articles to various homeopathic publications,
