Harris Livermore Coulter 1932 - 2009 was an American homeopathic historian, the leading homeopathic historian of the 20th century, Director of Publications for the American Foundation for Homeopathy, a Member of the editorial board of the Journal of the American Institute of Homeopathy, and Advisory Board Member of the Campaign Against Fraudulent Medical Research,

Harris Coulter passed away on October 28, 2009. He was considered the leading homeopathic historian of the 20th century.

His four volume series Divided Legacy on medical history included homeopathy’s rise, its amazing successes and how it succumbed to the politics of medicine in the U.S.

His meticulous research on homeopathy’s success in epidemics has often been quoted to defend homeopathy’s effectiveness. His research was no doubt assisted by the fact that he was fluent in German, French, Spanish, Latin, Russian, Hungarian, and Serbo-Croatian.

He also wrote about the dangers of vaccinations. His PhD thesis from Columbia University, NY was Political and Social Aspects of Nineteenth-Century Medicine in the United States: The Formation of the American Medical Association and its Struggle with the Homeopathic and Eclectic Physicians.

Harris Coulter also served as director of publications for the American Foundation for Homeopathy, and for six years was on the editorial board of the Journal of the American Institute of Homeopathy. He was an advisory board member of the Campaign Against Fraudulent Medical Research.

This quote from his Divided Legacy Vol 3, will give you a sense of how he viewed the medical monopoly:

“Society today is paying a heavy price in disease and death for the monopoly granted the medical profession in the 1920’s. In fact, the situation peculiarly resembles that of the 1830s when physicians relied on bloodletting, mercurial medicines, and quinine, even though knowing them to be intrinsically harmful. And precisely the same arguments were made in defense of these medicines as are employed today, namely, that the benefits outweigh the risks. In truth, the benefits accrue to the physician, while the patient runs the risks.”

Harris Coulter was a champion of homeopathy and of the truth. We will all miss him.

Dr. Coulter was born on October 8, 1932 in Baltimore, Maryland and died on October 28, 2009, at the age of 77.

In his significant career he has made contributions in many areas, including cancer, vaccinations, and shedding light on the conflict between the AMA and Homeopthy. His fluency in many languages (German, French, Spanish, Latin, Russian, Hungarian, and Serbo-Croatian) has helped him to communicate to a wide audience.

January 1997 Lectured to homeopathic and other physicians specializing in alternative medicine in Berlin, Germany, Moscow, Russia and London, UK.

October 1996 Lectured on cancer immunotherapy at the 51st Annual Conference of the World Homeopathic League (LIGA) in Capri, Italy and at the Third Dead Sea Conference on Potentiating Health and the Crisis of the Immune System in Zichron Yaacov, Israel. Guest Lecturer at the Convention of the Romanian Homeopathic Society in Bucharest, Romania.

March 1996 Editorial board of the Journal of Vertebral Subluxation Research. Appeared as expert witness on risks and benefits of childhood vaccinations (lawsuit by parents refusing to vaccinate their children).

February 1996 Introduced VG-1000, a unique vaccine treatment for cancer, to the IAT Clinic, Freeport, Bahamas. Advisory Board Member of the Campaign Against Fraudulent Medical Research.

November 1995 Lectured on medical and homeopathic history at Centre de Techniques Homeopathiques, Montreal, Canada (lectures published by the Centre under the title: Histoire de l’Homeopathie).

October 1995 Lectured at 50th Congress of International Homeopathic Medical League (Oaxaca, Mexico) on the dangers of childhood vaccinations.

September 1995 Lectured at Conference on Genetic Causes of Violence (University of Maryland) on childhood vaccinations as a cause of violent behavior.

February 1995 Spoke at 49th Congress of International Homeopathic Medical League (New Delhi, India), and to homeopathic physicians in Calcutta, India, on ‘Vitalism and the Future of Medicine.’
