Francois Cartier 1864 - 1928

Francois Cartier 1864 - 1928 was a French orthodox physician who converted to homeopathy to become the President of the French Homeopathic Society in 1906. Francois Cartier was a Physician at the Hospital St. Jacques in Paris.

Francois Cartier was a colleague of Timothy Field Allen, Victor Arnaud, Paul Francois Curie, Simon Felix Camille Croserio, Gerard Anaclet Vincent Encausse, Giraud, Hureau, Gottlieb Heinrich Georg Jahr, Pierre Jousset, Libert, Daniel Parenteau, Perry, Frederick Hervey Foster Quin, Leon Francois Adolphe Simon, and Jean Paul Tessier.

Francois Cartier, and Leon Francois Adolphe Simon, were homeopathic physician of Lucien Pissaro, the son of Camille Pissarro.

Francois Cartier also practiced at 18 Rue de Vignon in Paris, and at 32 Avenue du Crocadero.

Francois Cartier treated Yellow Fever amongst the poor, treating 176 patients and only losing 16 of them. He is also responsible for introducing the remedy Tuberculinum Aviaire.

Francois Cartier attended the International Homeopathic Congress in 1896, and he was present in 1898 when Samuel Hahnemann’s body was disinterred from his tomb, for reburial under a more suitable memorial at the Cemetery of Pere Lachaise. Francois Cartier was Secretary to the Sub Committee in Charge of Samuel Hahnemann’s tomb, alongside Brasol, Richard Hughes, Bushrod James and Alexander von Villers.

Francois Cartier wrote Bacillinum, Tuberculinum, and Aviaire, the viruses of tuberculosis, Therapeutics of the Respiratory Organs, and he edited The Universal Homeopathic Annual with Timothy Field Allen, Homoeopathic Posology, and he contributed widely to homeopathic publications.
